I traveled to Nepal with a group of 30 people I’d never met before, we spent 2 weeks’ together sightseeing seeing for the 1st week, then 2nd week trekking through the Himalayan Mountains. I felt very safe, it was the most amazing experience and I would highly recommend going to Nepal as well as traveling with new people. I’ve made friends for life!

I am traveling in Nepal at the moment for more than a week. There has not been a moment that i felt unsafe. People are friendly and helpfull. I dont deel stared at. Eating alone is easy. I have been walking a lot in Kathmandu, hopping on local buses for transport and finding my way by asking (and Google)
Posted: January 23, 2024Nepal is an amazing country with a beautyful nature. If you like to hike, it is perfect for you, because the mountakns are so high. The food is really dealicous, but after a while it is mostly the same: rice with vegetables. It is not the safest country because of the earthquakes and the poverty. But the people are really friendly. I would highly recommend it.
Posted: November 16, 2023Experienced: March, 2023I spent 3 months in Nepal, as the start of a bigger solo journey. It was not my first solo trip and it was not my first "developing" travel destination, but it was still kind of a culture shock. The nature is beyond words beautiful and I would always recommend hiking (according to physical level and time constraints). But even without it, there is much to see. It is a very safe country for solo traveling women and people are, generally speaking, very friendly. The biggest nuisance for me was the constant harassment by people trying to sell me something - trinkets, taxis or guide services. Plus, even genuine contacts with local residents ended up asking for money in 90% of cases.

It was crazy! A magical country that one must absolutely visit for its mountains. The cities and the population are just incredible and so kind. We loved it, I highly recommend it. And lots of flags and monks who explain everything to you!
Posted: March 20, 2024Spent 5 weeks travelling Nepal, it was my first solo trip and I had an amazing time. I stayed in hostels and travelled via bus to most places. It was very cheap, the locals were extremely lovely and the friends I made in the hostels made the trip amazing.
